VIDEO

Local record label Bocumast asked me to make them a ringtone, and then suggested that some artists might make a video for their ringtone song. I thought this was a delightfully absurd project, and went for it. The result is a 25-second 8-bit / dancehall / idm tune, and a video that was 100% sequenced by audio-reactive code that I wrote from scratch with Processing. This is my first official music video entirely produced by myself.

My cousin Zebbler and his crew in Boston throw great parties with high-tech entertainment. I was wearing a party hat and playing on the Launchpad for the first time. November 2009.

This was my first official solo live audio/visual performance: remixing my own tunes on 8 tracks of audio, doing vocals through my own custom vocal software, and controlling visual programs I've written with audio and midi signals. This show was opening for the masterful and prolific Daedelus.

This is a test render of some of my latest audio-reactive visual programs. The music is Rahst, out January 5th on Vermin Street records.

I was in the studio, recording with Ryan from A Shoreline Dream, and I showed him my updated vocal software by shouting out his band. You can use this software yourself by going to: http://github.com/cacheflowe/Rob.Vox

The Westword puts on an annual showase of Denver's most active bands. I played with 5 other local experimental acts on one stage, and we each had enough time for two songs. So I dressed up like Kraftwerk and performed the Kraftwerk covers I've made recently with my good friend The Tickler. Additional audio reactive Kraftwerk graphics created with my visual software, Haxademic. Read a review here.

Movax made a beautiful video for one of my remixes on The Reprogramming Project.

Movax writes sick audio-reactive visual software. He helped me get going on my own stuff, but his visuals are so advanced, it's always a pleasure to play with him. The audio here is me remixing my owns tunes on the fly, with 8 channels of audio & effects.

We had Machinedrum play our CD release party for The Reprogramming Project, a full-length remix project that I helped create with Scaffolding and Wayne winters. It was a blast, and the real kickoff of the label I run with Scaffolding and Snowblinded, Plastic Sound Supply.

This is an audio/visual improv collaboration between myself and my friend h.dot. I was remixing the tunes from my EP "Cache, Stacks & Queues", amongst others. I had to take it kind of easy as my laptop was on it's last leg. This was one of its last couple performances. This video was filmed in the awesome Denver Open Media studios in collaboration with KGNU. Note: just before 10 minutes, someone turned on a mic and there was terrible feedback until just before 16 minutes, so either skip that part or try to ignore it.
